FUJITSU TEN Presented Technology Development Award at Toyota Global Supplier Conference
Multi-Angle Vision™

Toyota's Technology Development Award is presented to parts, materials, and equipment suppliers who achieve major breakthroughs in improving Toyota vehicles' "product strength."

The 2010 Toyota Global Supplier Conference, held on February 25, was the scene of great joy for Fujitsu Ten, which won the Technology Development Award for Multi-Angle Vision™, its peripheral monitoring system.
This marks the third year in a row in which Fujitsu Ten has won the award, and the ninth overall since 1990. The award is presented to parts, materials, and equipment suppliers who achieve major breakthroughs in improving Toyota vehicles' "product strength."
Fujitsu Ten views the award as a great honor and welcome reward for its contribution to vehicle development through its formidable technology development strengths.
The company is determined to use the award as an impetus to further improve its creation of interfaces that provide a sensory link between people and their cars, so as to offer solutions that fulfill clients' needs.

Multi-Angle Vision™

Multi-Angle Vision™ is the world's first*1 peripheral monitoring system for supporting safe driving through displaying a three-dimensional bird's-eye view from various perspectives around the vehicle. The driver's field of vision is assisted over a wide range thereby promoting safe driving when reversing the vehicle in parking situations or when turning at intersections with poor visibility.
This important breakthrough incorporates image processing technology by Fujitsu Laboratories, on-board image processing LSI technology by Fujitsu Semiconductor, as well as HMI*2 technology for vehicles and vehicle mounting technology by Fujitsu Ten.
Multi-Angle Vision™ is now available as a genuine*3 Toyota multi-angle surround monitor in six vehicle models: Prius, Alphard, and Vellfire since May 2010; and Noah, Voxy, and Estima since December 2010.
