"クルマでDS"Market-first!

Nintendo DS software "クルマでDS" is available. Nintendo DS connecting with a car navigation unit links car navigation maps and location data, and provides tourist guide and local quizzes so that family members can enjoy driving time while having communications.
"AVN-ZX02i" and "AVN-Z02i" are equipped with "クルマでDS".

• Fun time even under heavy traffic jam
  Anyone of all ages can spend a fun time together only with "クルマでDS" even while long-distance driving or under heavy traffic jam.

"Vivid View Processor ™ 3" Image correction LSI in direct sunlight for better visibility

E-iSac drastically improves visibility reduction caused by direct sunlight on a display. Equipped with a sensor on the front to detect incoming light, this function automatically corrects tone (degree of density of color and brightness) and contrast according to the amount of light striking the screen. Safe and secure driving is ensured as this function eliminates the problem of sunlight reflected from the display reducing the visibility of the screen, causing it to appear washed out.

Map On-Demand

• Promptly obtaining new information
  Updated map data is provided in a minimum of seven days after a new highway or toll road is opened. Updating of map data allows for route searches to take new roads into consideration so that guidance to your destination using the optimal route is provided in a smooth manner.

  Note: Transmission of updated data can take up to three months depending on the conditions of map update data acquisition/maintenance.

• Simple updating using home computer
  Only required is updating map data by downloading map data, using customer's own home computer, into an SD card for map data usage from the specialized site, and then inserting the card into the AVN. Time wasted by having to stop by a retail outlet for updating is eliminated since the customer can easily update maps at home. Additionally, there is absolutely no need to do anything within his/her car. (The AVN includes the specialized application software.)
• Can be used for three years after purchase
  Map On-Demand can be used for three years after the product is originally purchased. The customer can also buy an updated map software version after that and this can be used for an additional two years.

Narrow street route guidance function

Traffic rule data (one-way traffic, etc.) concerning narrow streets narrower than 5.5 meters are included. This provides voice route guide newly including narrow streets close to the destination as well as an enlarged intersection view.

Map On-Demand

Note: Not compatible with all cars and functions might also be partially limited.
