Assistance for the Victims of the Northeast Japan Earthquake
March. 16, 2011
FUJITSU TEN LIMITED
We, at FUJITSU TEN group, offer our heartfelt condolences to the victims
of the earthquake that struck the northeast area of Japan on March 11,
2011 and extend our deepest sympathies to everyone now suffering in its
wake. Many customers and business partners of FUJITSU TEN are among those
affected, and we earnestly pray for an early recovery.
FUJITSU TEN group will donate 30 million yen to support the recovery efforts.
The Company conducted a fundraising campaign at the gates of its corporate
head office in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture; Nakatsugawa Plant in Nakatsugawa,
Gifu Prefecture; and Kobe Logistics Center in Kobe before the start of
work on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, raising a total of some 2.5 million yen.
The donation includes the money raised through our fund-raising activities.
In addition, donation boxes will be placed in all Group plants and offices
throughout Japan and around the world from today until March 25; these
contributions will also be donated to the same cause.
When the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake struck Kobe, the home of FUJITSU
TEN, and its environs in 1995, people throughout Japan and the world opened
their hearts, providing much-needed support and assistance. This relief
came as an enormous encouragement to us as we struggled to recover during
that difficult time. FUJITSU TEN takes this opportunity to repay this debt
to society and support a rapid and smooth recovery in the areas stricken
by the recent disaster.
