FUJITSU TEN (Kobe City, Hyogo, Japan; President & Representative Director: Takashi Shigematsu; Capital: ¥5.3 billion) will release a corporate version of the ECLIPSE car AV and navigation system boasting industry-first (*1) quadrilingual map display and audio guidance, at the start of November.

Underlying Concepts
As more and more overseas tourists visit Japan in recent years, use of rental cars by overseas tourists is increasing. Responding to the desire for greater convenience among foreign tourists and the needs of car rental companies, FUJITSU TEN released the first corporate in-dash memory car navigation system equipped with map display and audio guidance in English in October 2010.
Now, in addition to Japanese and English, we have enhancd convenience even more through launching a version also compatible with Chinese and Korean, for which there was particularly high demand (Multilingual version SD card, “SDB311M”).
Furthermore, responding to the need to be able to confirm small buildings such as stores on the map when using for business purposes, we have stored data for displaying in detail the shapes of property on town maps (Detailed map version SD card, “SDB211M”).
Through offering a choice of three types of map SD, namely the multilingual version, detailed map version and ordinary version, for combining with the main unit AVN110MRC, which has an established reputation for providing the necessary adequate functions, low price and high durability, we respond to the various needs of corporate customers.

1. Multilingual compatibility (map display and audio guidance in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean) [SDB311M] New!
The new system can be used with Chinese and Korean, as well as English. We have achieved quadrilingual map display and audio guidance in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean for the first time in the industry. In particular, concerning Chinese, as the map display is in traditional Chinese and audio display is in Standard Chinese (*2), the system can be used by many travellers from Chinese-speaking countries.

3. Function customization according to individual needs (*3)
The system is equipped with an individual customization function suited to corporate customer needs, for example, buttons for setting a limit on “one-seg” functions and erasing destination history and driven routes, etc. at once.
(*3) Individual customization can only be performed at FUJITSU TEN or approved dealers.
