FUJITSU TEN (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. (head office: Singapore, managing director:
Kazuyuki Ishida, capital: US$1,853,000), a procuring and retailing subsidiary
of FUJITSU TEN CO., LTD. (head office: Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, president
and representative director: Keijiro Katsumaru, capital: 5.3 billion yen),
and the development and design subsidiary FUJITSU TEN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
(TIANJIN) LTD. (headquarters: China Tianjin Economic and Technology Development
Zone, managing director: Tetsuya Sato, capital: US$9,000,000), acquired
certification of international standard ISO14001 for environmental management
system (EMS) (*1) on April 18 and July 22 respectively.
The FUJITSU TEN group, in an effort to strengthen group governance and
compliance functions in its environmental conservation activities, is promoting
the establishment of EMS at both its production and non-production locations.
These latest acquisitions of ISO14001 certification by overseas non-production
locations follow on from acquisition by FUJITSU TEN EUROPE (*2) on May 26, 2003.
FUJITSU TEN (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. has strived to procure green materials
and to reduce consumption of energy and paper while conducting education
and enlightenment regarding environmental conservation activities. Meanwhile,
FUJITSU TEN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (TIANJIN) LTD. has worked on energy
saving activities including the reduction of waste through improving the
quality of drawings and the separate collection and treatment of waste
products.
Following acquisition by Japan head office/plant in 1997, FUJITSU TEN group
has promoted similar acquisition by domestic and overseas locations. Consolidated
certification, which registers all domestic group companies, was acquired on March
12, 2007. The next target is to establish a group consolidated management
system that includes all overseas locations by the end of fiscal 2009.
FUJITSU TEN group will continue to promote group-wide environmental conservation
activities in an effort to contribute to the realization of a sustainable
society.
