16th January 2006 Acquisition of "ISO/TS16949:2002" certification, the International Standard for Quality Management System for the Automotive Industry   On Dec. 21, 2005, the FUJITSU TEN LIMITED (Headquarters: Kobe (Japan), President: Keijiro Katsumaru, Capital: 5.3 billion yen) has newly acquired the "ISO/TS16949:2002" certification, for the entire company including the Nakatsugawa Plant. The ISO/TS16949:2002 is an international quality management system standard for the automotive industry.   The ISO/TS16949 is an ISO Technical Specification that combines the quality management standards of U.S. and European automobile manufacturers (QS 9000, ISO9000 series, etc.), and is the world standard specializing in the automobile industry. Many automobile manufacturers around the globe now require their suppliers to acquire this certification.   At FUJITSU TEN, we have been moving forward in acquiring the ISO9001 in August of 1996, and the QS 9000 in August of 1998, but this new acquisition of the ISO/TS16949:2002 proves that we have been successful in creating an even better, world class quality management system. This holds great meaning for FUJITSU TEN, as our policy for quality is that of "Customer First" and "Supreme quality".    The FUJITSU TEN group is developing business on an international level, and efforts are under way to acquire the ISO/TS16949 within 2006, for all domestic and overseas production bases.
